Mastika Peshtera is a representative of the large family of aniseed aperitifs. It is produced from high-quality ethyl alcohol and anise oil, which, when cooled, form the crystals so characteristic of mastic. Anise oil is known for its stimulating, refreshing and toning effect (including as an aphrodisiac), as well as for its unique exotic aroma. "Mastika Peshtera" is in an almost love affair with the traditionally delicious Bulgarian vegetables and the snow-white cow's cheese, so it reveals all its charm in combination with the classic Shopska salad.
